Update – Ohio is the First State to Offer New 529 ABLE Accounts for Children With Disabilites

As a follow up to our 529 ABLE Blog Post on June 1, 2016, the first 529 ABLE account is now available to eligible individuals. Ohio is the first state to offer the 529 ABLE for nationwide enrollment, creating what they are calling the STABLE Account. Visit the new STABLE Account website for information on the account itself, as well as a quiz to see if you or your dependent(s) is eligible to enroll.

We are expecting more information about the availability of Texas ABLE accounts in the near future.
